With their business taking an ambitious new direction, LCA Group approached The Loft to design and develop a new website which would both reflect the growth of their business and improve user experience.
LCA Group is a major supplier of electrical, control and instrumentational engineering solutions in the UK and overseas. In 2018, they opened a new multimillion-pound manufacturing facility and became the first UK country to invest in a new 3D laser technology.
Our approach to designing the LCA Group website started with a brand strategy session. We worked with the directors at their new manufacturing facility to help them develop their brand proposition. Our UX and design teams used the insight to develop a sitemap and wireframe which refined the layout, visual hierarchy and information architecture.
The next phase was the visual design. Our brief was to communicate the knowledge and expertise of LCA Group to users, whilst retaining a personal feel. Throughout the website, we have incorporated the clean slash from the logomark as a nod to the precision of LCA Group’s engineering work whilst the brand photography illustrates the client’s commitment to their people.
Finally, a custom-built CMS allows the client to create and manage the content within their site, including page content, articles and meta tags for SEO.
